Speed of Implementation: Why you gotta have it to win?

Speed of Implementation- (n) Taking massive action on your goals really fast. Enough said.

I am one of those unicorns that get a lot of things done than most people do  in a relatively short period of time. One of the thing that has help me realize so many of my goals is my ability to act quickly.  When I have an idea, I get on it.  I act pretty fast.

I have had friends who have an idea and just either 1) sat on that idea for months, or 2) attempt to make sure this BIG idea is the BEST idea. It takes them a very long time to implement it.

Decision-making makes many people uncomfortable. They believe that they will mess up and do something wrong. While I am the type that likes to plan. I do not sit around basking in the overflow of planning and analysis. It does not have to be perfect.

Each time I learn something new or have a new idea, I make it a goal to implement some part of it in 24 hours, or try to complete a project I’ve been sitting on in half the time (i.e 3 days vs 1 week).

I make a commitment to get on with it, stop procrastinating and start the planning process. As mention earlier, the planning process is not some long drawn out process. I typically rely on the expertise of others and my own experience to create a framework, a structure, or a possible implementation model.

Once, I have this, I begin to move forward tackling each step from top to bottom, or if it is most beneficial to start a multiple angles and move inward.

Instead of assuming that Idea is the Best idea, I always go with the assumption that things will evolve into its best version as you begin implementing. So never thing the idea you have is the final product. Build the framework and start on it.

I have made mistakes, but I found that there are no mistakes that cannot be fixed quickly. You pivot and keep moving.

Not only do you have to act quickly, you have to increase the speed of the work. The faster you work, quicker you can pivot and test, the sooner it gets done. Always bring a sense of urgency and purpose in all that you do.

I hope this quick free flow of thoughts will help you execute better and realize your goals.
